Location: Beach road lies just inside Singapore's Central Business District. Suntec Convention Centre and the Marina Bay area are easily accessible by crossing over a bridge. It is also across the road from the historical former enclave of the Malay sultanate and hence the name of Arab Street where the Arab traders used to ply their trade and indeed many still do so today. A row of shop houses sits opposite the hotel, on the ground floor of the shop there are some restaurants, local coffee shops and small firms. Beach Road was historically on the beach and hotels like the Raffles down the road were beach front properties; however land reclamation has since pushed the sea 2 kms further.
