| Hotel Description: The Amstel Botel is a modern and budget floating hotel. An alternative way to get to know the lively city of Amsterdam. The Amstel Botel has moved from its usual location by the Central Station on the end of January, and is now located by the former NDSM-shipyard in Amsterdam North, at the NDSM-Pier 3, a colourful and vital dockside area now houses workshops and artists' studios, hip cafes and restaurants. The location can be reached from the Central Station by ferry (NDSM-werfveer), leaving from behind Central Station (leave Amsterdam central station from the north side exit). The crossing takes about 15 minutes and is free of charge. During the night time, when the ferry will not be running, a shuttle service between the Amstel Botel and the Central Station is provided (the bus stops opposite the ferries and is free of charge only when the ferry is not running) .
