| Hotel Description: hacienda guachipelin is a farm dedicated to raising cattle and horses. it is also dedicated to the conservation of the dry tropical forest and to commercial reforestation. located at the foot of the rincon de la vieja volcano-near the town of curubande-in guanacaste-costa rica. it borders the popular rincon de la vieja national park. natural hot springs-virgin forests-jungle waterfalls and volcanic mud pots are just some of the many attractions tourists can enjoy during a stay at the hacienda. for the adventurer-there are many activities in the lodge like horseback riding-the canyon canopy tour-rio negro tubing adventure-bird watching-as well as trekking to the active craters of the rincon de la vieja volcano. there are 50 rooms-all with their private bathroom and hot water-from where you can enjoy the volcano and hacienda views and relax with the real sounds of nature. the reception area and the bar by the swimming pool are housed in a building more than a century old-part of the original hacienda. here you receive your welcome drink-while you sit and relax on the chaise lounges and rocking chairs. the refreshing swimming pool is filled with natural spring waters-coming from the volcano. you can order some snacks and your favorite drinks here at the bar-and dance with live marimba music at night. we are known for our great service-and for having the best food in the area-combining typical national dishes-with international cuisine. from our restaurant la hacienda you can enjoy the views of the guanacaste lowlands-the city of liberia-the liberia international airport and the coastal lines-or see the vaqueros working with the cattle in the fields.

| Directions lir-liberia daniel oduber international airport-15 mi ne . from liberia. exit lir-liberia international airport. take the highway 5 km north- toward la cruz. turn right at the rincon de la vieja and curubande sign- follow the road to the hacienda guachipelin for 17 km to the hacienda main gate. sjo- san jose juan santamaria international airport- 80 mi n . from san jose. exit sjo- juan santamaria international airport. drive to liberia on the interamerican highway. from the main intersection in liberia -you will notice the three gas stations and burger king- drive 5 kilometers north- towards the nicaraguan border- and turn right at the entrance to curubande/rincon de la vieja national park/las pailas sector. it is 14 kilometers on a dirt road to the village of curubande- and another kilometer to the gate at hacienda guachipelin. |
